Your personal guide to all things caffeine

Who can resist a piping hot drink from their favorite café in the middle of December or a chilled latte on a hot summer day? I, along with most of the CHS population, definitely cannot. Luckily, for those unfortunate souls who never know what to order, I will be your personal guide to all things caffeine.

First off, never go to Starbucks for drinks, no offense or anything. Starbucks is great and all, but Coffee Bean and Tealeaf are where all the good drinks are chilling (or steaming). Just to get this out in the open, I have never been much of a coffee kind of gal, but here are the best lattes that can get you moving just as quickly as coffee, but taste a lot better!

I love everything Chai Tea; ice cream, pastries, and of course drinks. I have tried a lot of Chai tea at a lot of places, but Coffee Bean has the best. For all of those who complain that Chai Tea Latte is too sweet or too fattening, Coffee Bean has you covered! They can make it with less vanilla or even make it fat-free. My favorite part about this classic drink is that it is even better over ice, ideal for a hot day stuck at school.

Don’t tell my Chai Tea latte, but my overall favorite drink is the Earl Grey Latte at Coral Tree Café in Encino (the food is just as good as the drinks, if not better). It’s pretty much the most delicious latte ever! Every time I get it I feel like I’m having a quick little cup of tea with the Queen of England. It’s perfectly sweet, and doesn’t have so much caffeine that you find yourself bouncing in your seat (like the unfortunate cat above), but just enough to wake you up and help you get through the day.

Many may think that it is sad for me to be writing this much about lattes, but for all you haters please do me a favor and go to Coral Tree or Coffee Bean, order these drinks and enjoy the delicious taste of being wrong!
