Are you interested in asking a special someone to this year’s Spring Formal but just cannot figure out how? Here are a few ideas to help you out:

Keep it simple. Girls, if your boy is super simple and does not like extravagant surprises, remain subtle and sweet. Be straight up and ask him with an assortment of tasty treats. Boys love food, and a shy guy will appreciate a simple gesture much more than a huge public display of lovey-dovey chaos.

Make him curious. If your boy likes to be challenged, make this fun and mysterious for him. Get a bunch of balloons and stuff every one with a letter. Hide them throughout the day in places he will be sure to find them and once he collects all the balloons, he can pop the question himself. This tactic will keep him interested and intrigued all day.

Embrace your inner-Calabasas girl. If you are feeling really “Calabasas,” rent a yellow convertible Rolls-Royce, wear an overly priced sequined dress, buy your date a pair of custom cuff links, and you will be guaranteed a date for Spring Formal. It is as easy as that.

Remember, stay calm. Girls, do not forget that most guys are minimalists. Do not dread over the little details. Be forward, go after what you want and he will surely love it.
