Coachella: who to see

Coachella%3A+who+to+see

The Red Hot Chili Peppers walk onstage, and the crowd’s energy suddenly skyrockets.  As the band begins its performance, fans start to sing along to their favorite songs, forming one unified, harmonious voice.  Whether you are sitting with friends or dancing until you drop, missing out on this experience of a lifetime is a mistake that nobody would want to make.

Despite the blistering Coachella heat, you can still get into the winter spirit by listening to the hit song “Sweater Weather” performed by The Neighbourhood, a group that recently gained two million views on YouTube for the “Sweater Weather” music video.  Additionally, be sure to check out Justin Vernon, front man of Bon Iver, and his side project, The Shouting Matches.  This once bluesy duo is now a trio with the reappearance of an old member, Phil Cook, who is also a part of the band Megafaun.

If your schedule is not already booked, rock out with Vampire Weekend’s new album, Modern Vampires of the City.  Celebrate by buying Vampire Weekend apparel on its website to show your love and dedication to its music.  For killer beats and mind-blowing trebles, Dillon Francis is the  DJ for you.  Every time he drops a beat, he creates a performance you do not want to miss.

While some enjoy hard rock or bass heavy techno, for those who are more into a soulful, soothing sound, catch a glimpse of the talented Allen

Stone, who is featured on Macklemore’s track “Neon Cathedral.”  According to USA Today, musician Allen Stone is a pitch-perfect powerhouse.  This year prepare for the dance party of a lifetime; scope out artists you usually would not be inclined to listen to and experience a new side of the music spectrum.
