The Six

If you are tired of chow mein, chicken fingers and paninis, luckily for you, a new restaurant launched on Calabasas Rd.  The Six, established in 2010, was inspired by the “Society of Six,” six closely-knit artists who enjoyed art through homemade meals, brews and wine.  They have created a rustic American experience at affordable and appealing prices accessible to everyone.

Their menu emphasizes the concept of “six.”  Choose from six exciting starters, six savory entrees, six red wines, six white wines, six brews on tap and six desserts.  This is a fun new twist on the typical Calabasas chain dining because this restaurant is exclusive to Calabasas, West L.A. and Studio City.  Some items on their lunch menu include the Grilled Chicken Sub, the Six Burger, Turkey Sloppy Sliders and Grilled Fig Salad.  Their dinner menu includes Atlantic Salmon, Steak Frites, the Six Mac N’ Cheese and Asparagus Mushroom Risotto.

The gastro pub obtains a friendly and upbeat environment that is perfect for catching a drink or grabbing a good bite to eat.  The restaurant has a rural feel–it is refurbished primarily from recycled materials, classic cast iron skillets and rustic wood planks to serve delicious American meals.  The Six is known for its delectable and refreshing mimosas.

Check out this new restaurant and see for yourself what all the hype is about.

The delicious aroma of pastries and savory meals will capture your attention from the moment you walk through the doors of Huckleberry Bakery & Café.  This café puts other bakeries to shame with its pastries that are always made by the café pastry chefs and are never shipped in.  All ingredients used at Huckleberry Bakery & Café are seasonal and purchased fresh from local farmers’ markets, ensuring healthy, quality ingredients.

The handcrafted, authentic pastries are showcased behind glass counters and the fresh baked bread is lined along the back wall.  Located in the heart of Santa Monica, neighborhood regulars come and go as they drink their morning cappuccino and enjoy a warm, fresh-baked croissant.

Famous for their Niman Ranch Maple-Bacon Biscuit, brunch time is the perfect time to enjoy a meal at this quaint café.  Childhood dreams come true when you order green eggs and ham, which is made with arugula and pesto instead of food coloring.

Featured multiple times on the Food Network, this café is a diamond in the rough waiting to be discovered by hungry patrons of the Los Angeles area.
