Every year, the award-winning coed group, Unstrumental, and the all-girls group, Bare Rhythm, entertain Calabasas students and locals with impressive vocals and captivating arrangements. Unstrumental’s new album After Hours featuring Bare Rhythm is a perfect display of this CHS talent, combined with the quality of a professional album. The album includes a cappella covers of popular songs, ranging from up beat party hits like Kesha’s “We R Who We R” and Britney Spears’s “Toxic”, to soulful renditions of Amy Winehouse’s “You Know I’m No Good” and Regina Spektor’s “Samson.” A remarkable element within the album is the outstanding vocal percussion, or beat boxing, performed by various students at impressive levels.

“I am so proud of how great this album came out,” said choir teacher and program director Joshua Barroll. “ It is so gratifying to see the hard work of our a cappella students pay off with such a wonderful album”.
