On May 24 and 25 the theater program is presenting its annual Murder Mystery Night in the multi-purpose room. This year’s show is called “Yes, Mr. Mayor,” and is directed by senior Hannah Tamkin, produced by senior Jordan Kaiser and written by senior Jake Bender. Murder Mystery Night is a dinner show about a mysterious crime and it is the audience’s job to investigate and infer who the murderer is. Each night the show is performed there will be a different murderer. The first table to correctly guess the murderer wins prizes that include Hershey’s chocolate. Dinner and dessert will be served from Stonefire Grill and as the audience eats their dinner, the actors will walk around from table to table and collect money in exchange for clues about who the murderer is. The money collected from clues will then be donated to the CHS theater program. This show is entirely student-written and gives students the opportunity to create a story from scratch and experience their vision transform into a live show. Murder Mystery Night has been performed for 17 years and every year the students of the theater program strive to convey a performance that will get the audience on the edges of their seats and laughing for hours.
