Dark navy curtains drape around the entrance of the lounge, leading guests to a stage where performances are held nightly at the Cobalt Café. As one of the most unique coffee houses in the San Fernando Valley, the café holds poetry readings as well as live music ranging from warm acoustic tones to raw aggressive punk rock. The coffee shop has a mellow vibe and showcases artistic individuality. Although the café lies in the mellow streets of the valley, the performers create an exciting scene for locals who are eager for a night out.
Deep in the Topanga Canyon on lies a one-of-a-kind drive-through art gallery known as “The Great Wall of Topanga.” After Topanga resident Rick Denman chose to embrace the graffiti that appeared on his property, he transformed the graffiti into an art gallery open to the public. Spectators are drawn to the exhibit by unusual pieces of art that are unlike anything they have ever seen.
