Coyotes show spirit at winter pep rally
CHS held its third pep rally of the year on Friday, featuring the winter sports walkthrough, games and performances.
According to many students, the Coyotes were more spirited and involved than ever before at this rally.
“This has been the best pep rally that I have ever been to at Calabasas High because everyone was so spirited with their fellow classmates and the energy was just immaculate,” said junior Tidiane Sy.
With a popular vote, watching teachers get competitive with one another was a student-favorite and really got the crowd going.
“Watching the teachers sumo wrestle was the most entertaining and funny thing to watch that I really enjoyed, and I could definitely tell that all the grades really enjoyed it,” said freshman Elan Dardashti.
Despite the successes of the event, some students believe changes could be made to the overall atmosphere of the rally in order to improve the experience.
“I think the pep rally should have show lights and louder music to really get the students excited and extra spirited because this pep rally really does have a lot of potential,” said senior Phoenix Call.
Participants in rally performances really enjoyed the crowd getting wild and feeling the energy of the student body.
“Being a part of the pep rally truly made me feel connected to the audience, and I really enjoyed hearing everyone be so supportive and spirited to get us energized and motivated to want to dance to our best potential,” said senior varsity cheerleader Clare Roeb.
