Aviv announces resignation
Last night, Principal Amy Aviv announced her resignation in a message sent to families via ParentSquare.
Aviv was hired in the spring of 2022. The end of this year marks only one year of her tenure as principal at CHS.
“It’s with a heavy heart, but also with excitement for the future, that I’ve made a decision to seek new opportunities for the 2023-24 school year,” said Aviv in the email.
Superintendent Dr. Dan Stepenosky reached out to parents via email this morning to confirm that Aviv will not be returning.
“Last night Ms. Aviv shared with our community that she will not be returning as Calabasas High School’s Principal,” said Stepenosky. “Our District senior leadership team will be supporting the CHS administration in ensuring a strong finish to the school year.”
In the same email, Stepenosky informed the CHS community that he will be working with district personnel to select a replacement.
“I will be working with the Board of Education and the staff in the coming days to outline the next steps for selecting a new Calabasas High School Principal,” said Stepenosky.
The Courier reached out to members of the CHS administration, but they were not available for comment.
