Monday through Saturday, Fairfax High School in Melrose is just like any other school, but when Sunday rolls around the campus comes to life. Every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. the seemingly ordi- nary high school transforms into a world of vintage finds and great deals.
The admission fee of $3 will take you to a whole new world of hidden treasures and vintage must-buys. No item from Urban Outfitters can replicate the authenticity these goods contain. Be sure to spend hours looking through all of the trinkets and unique items of clothing available for purchase.
While the vendors offer a wide array of items to buy, the food available for purchase will satisfy the pickiest of eaters. Located on the upper quad of the market, the food court provides several options for your food desires. Eat delicious meals and treats while enjoying live music and taking in the picturesque scenery.
“At the mall you can’t bargain prices and buy things with as much character as these vintage items,” said shopper Grace Evans. “The clothes here have a story, so it’s much more meaningful than just buying something new from a store.”
Going to the Melrose Flea Market will satisfy the shopping needs of those indie shoppers that are tired of going to the regular local, mainstream clothing stores
