On Saturday, Lululemon Athletica presented its first annual Rock It To The Core fundraising event at CHS.  Rock It To The Core featured many activities that promoted healthy living for young men and women.  Donations to the program directly benefit A Place Called Home, a charity organization that provides safety and enrichment through educational programs, counseling and mentorship to children.

The event was open to the public and free of charge. Lululemon yoga ambassador Dawn Stillo hosted the event.  This festivity began with best selling author and spiritual guru Marianne Williamson giving a speech to inspired attendees. Afterward, Stillo and fellow Lululemon ambassadors Drorit Rudin and Brian Hyman led guests through a yoga session.  In addition to yoga classes, several musicians, including 7LIONS, performed for guests.  A large variety of food trucks was also present on campus.  The trucks donated funds to the APCH charity as well.

“APCH is a safe haven in South Central where youth are empowered to take ownership of their lives and make a meaningful difference in their community and the world,” said Drorit Rudin.

APCH is presenting many other fundraising events in the near future.  Tomorrow, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., the organization is hosting an event called Fast forward scary teen night to raise money for APCH. Admission is $2 for the movie viewing and popcorn. The APCH turkey giveaway will also be held on Nov. 27 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
