As news to workout-fanatics, the spinning studio SoulCycle has announced the grand opening at a new location in Calabasas. The health and fitness indoor-cycling studio will open its doors later this year and will be located next to the Avanti center on Park Sorrento, just behind the Calabasas Commons. Open seven days a week, the new SoulCycle location will provide city residents with a fitness opportunity that would not only affect exercising in Calabasas, but would reduce congestion at alternative gyms such as the Calabasas Tennis and Swim Center.

“I am beyond excited for the new SoulCycle location to open in Calabasas because it is so much closer to my house and easier to get to,” said junior Karin Moskalensky. “Spinning always makes me feel amazing, and now I do not have to drive to Malibu or the city to experience it.”

SoulCycle provides a service guaranteed by the company to not only change bodies and provide results, but also change lives by Encouraging physical and emotional health. Throughout 45-minute classes, cyclists can let the beat of the music consume them, clear their minds and feel a sense of empowerment.

“I can confirm that we will open a studio in Calabasas later this year,” said SoulCycle employee Vicky Land. “With 32 locations nationwide, SoulCycle has established itself as the leading fitness destination and attracts everyone from editors, celebrities, and captains of industry to fitness enthusiasts and athletes.”

Trained instructors, who run each class their own unique way such as through which music is played and what rhythms are used on the bikes, choose energetic music and aim to inspire customers to push themselves, reach goals and make progress. SoulCycle is focused on empowering riders and encouring full-body health.

“SoulCycle is such a unique way to exercise, feel good about yourself and have fun at the same time,” said senior Kenna Klein. “At SoulCycle, everyone is so inviting and friendly; it really feels like a family.”

The studio spaces, open and filled with many riders, are lit only by candlelight, aiming to enable students to focus on themselves and the music rather than what is happening around them. Whether taking a basic spinning class or a class with hand weights, the full-body workout will allow Calabasas residents the opportunity to burn fat, work their cores, and experience fitness in a new way.
