Girls basketball prepares for playoff run

The girls basketball team is closing out the 2021-22 season on a successful note.

The girls varsity basketball team believes they have good chemistry and can go far in the playoffs. They admire the chemistry their team has, especially after maintaining almost a perfect record in the first two months.

One team captain, Erin Topachio, is happy with the turn out of the season and is proud of the team’s hard work and drive to success.

“The teams we played in non-league were tough battles, which prepared us well for the league,” said Topachio.

Khai Anderson-Strawder, another team captain, was happy with the results of the regular season, but has higher expectations for playoffs.

“Although we had a great regular season, we want more and want to win some playoff games,” said Anderson-Strawder.

They will now hope to culminate the season with a deep playoff run. They play at Santa Clara on Feb. 12 in their first playoff game.
