On May 16, the 10th Annual CHS Film Festival showcased the talents of aspiring student filmmakers. The festival also commemorated these students for their dedication and hard work. The filmmakers and their families attended a showing of films in the Multipurpose room. Many student filmmakers received the chance to display their creativity and passion during the course of the festival.
The students directed and created their own films in order to partake in the festival. There were a total of 20 nominees for five different types of genres, along with six nominees for the Best Actor and Actress category. At the end of the night, the judging committee announced the three finalists. The official nominee list is available below.
“This year, I felt more intrigued by seeing otherstudents’ films, especially within the coming-of-age genre,” said sophomore participant Shir Shoshan.
The film festival was an overall success, with over 20 submissions from student filmmakers throughout the Calabasas community and the Los Angeles area. The CHS Film Festival Team would like to thank all the participants and their friends and families for supporting these young filmmakers.
