After weeks spent campaigning, putting up posters, and swaying the voters, CHS freshman officers have been decided: Vice President is Jacob Dabach, and your President is Olivia Wohlwend.
“I plan to raise lots of money for our class and plan events to raise freshman spirit and awareness,” says Dabach.
Dabach’s focus on fundraising and organizing events will unite the class and create memorable experiences for everyone.
“I plan to create an inclusive environment and a friendly atmosphere on campus,” says Dabach.
Through creating a welcoming space, Dabach aims to help first-year students connect, feel comfortable, and find a sense of belonging by engaging in campus events.
Wohlwend produced a campaign video showing her office plans. She is excited to be class president and wants to learn from past officers and create new events.
“I want to increase participation so we have different students playing games at nutrition and pep rallies,” says Wohlwend.
“My plan is to create many successful fundraisers so we can host activities,” says Wohlwend.
With the relatively quiet participation in recent activities, Wohlwend has new ideas for improvement.
“I want to set our class up for not only this year but the rest of our high school careers,” says Wohlwend.
The policy of increasing student participation in events would increase student involvement, morale, and awareness about campus information.
Wohlwend and Dabach are proud to represent their first-year class, and over the next year, the class of ‘28 will see how their policies and ideas will show up on the big stage.
