CHS Dance hosts first dance concert since 2019
On December 3 and 4, the CHS dance program will be hosting its annual winter dance show, called “The Hits.” The show will feature the entire dance program and the hip-hop team as a guest performer.
The show consists of 27 dances in addition to the finale, which includes the entire program. This year’s theme is celebrating past and present music hits to celebrate the return of performances.
“We have created a lot of upbeat energizing pieces to just kind of celebrate being back on stage,” said Kristen Furino, the dance teacher for all levels of the program.
The dance program has worked hard to put together its first show of the 2021-2022 school year to make a fun, energetic performance. “The Hits” will have jazz, hip hop and contemporary dances’ to showcase the dancers’ talents.
“We just want to have a show where [audience members are] excited for the music they’re hearing and want to dance,” said Furino. “We just want it to be light-hearted and fun.”
Tickets can be purchased at the door or online and the show is open to the public.
