CHS senior Chloe Resiner has created Charmz by Chloe, a custom phone charm business that originally started as a hobby.

After phone charms gained popularity on social media platforms, Reisner was inspired to create her charm business in early March of 2021.

“I started on March 17, 2021,” said Resiner. “I saw on Tik Tok that people liked phone charms, but no one was selling their own.”

Resiner creates custom charms catered towards her customers desires. She has a broad and diverse collection of beads and patterns.

“All of my orders are custom so I have a variety of different sizes and colors of beads with different designs,” said Reisner. “Right now I’m really into the evil eye bead pattern that has all different colors.”

Aside from customers buying Charmz by Chloe for themselves, many new and returning customers have started buying custom charms as gifts. Resiner is planning on expanding to making college-themed charms for committed students.

“I think it’s a really good way of congratulating friends while also giving them a gift that they can show pride for their school,” said Reisner.

In addition to starting this business as a hobby, she has also learned skills to help with customer service and communicating with the general public.

“Something I learned through this business is that it’s hard to cater to customers’ needs,” said Reisner.  “It’s not easy to work with other people and fit their every need.”

While Reisner will not pursue her business in college, she is thinking of taking her creativity  beyond phone charms. She wants to continue doing entrepreneurship in college and is using her business as a catalyst to get there.

Reisner currently sells only through Instagram on @CharmzByChloe, where customers can direct message her for a personalized phone charm accessory.
