Yesterday, Calabasas girls’ basketball head coach Destiny Melton announced via the team’s Instagram that she would be resigning from her position as head coach and taking on the role of Interim Head Coach at Mission College.

“After five meaningful seasons, I have come to a decision that is both bittersweet and necessary as I seek opportunities that bring me closer to home and align more closely with my professional goals,” said Melton.

Melton sent the girls to two consecutive playoff appearances in 2023 and 2024.

“Coach Melton has served our team with dedication and passion, guiding our athletes both on and off the court,” said Calabasas Athletics via Instagram. “We thank her for her time and commitment to the development of the Calabasas High School basketball program and her role in supporting student-athletes.”

CHS is currently looking for a new head coach for the 2025-2026 school year.

“A search for a new head coach will begin immediately, and we remain committed to the continued growth and success of our girls’ basketball program,” said Calabasas Athletics.
