Not many people can say that they will have an everlasting impact on CHS. With the Logan Grenley Heart Hustle and Passion Award created for and named after him, Logan Grenley can say he has.
For the past four years, Grenley has spent countless hours devoting himself to volleyball. Under his guiding hand as varsity captain, the Coyotes had a winning season and made their first ever playoff appearance this year. Grenley also single handedly raised over $30,000 for the volleyball program.
“I went through 150 pages of Yelp to call and send out messages about sponsoring,” said Grenley. “It sounds like a crazy undertaking, but I wanted to take this program to the next level and give the players more opportunities, and it paid off.”
The volleyball team is where Grenley feels most at home. He has helped to shape the volleyball program into one of the brightest at CHS.
“Logan has a drive and commitment to excellence, and he is an absolute joy to be around,” said senior Eitan Shemuelian. “All the players love and respect him, and he is a person you want on your team.”
Next year Grenley will attend the University of Maryland at College Park and plans on double majoring in political science and business. His commitment to all he does is a testament to his strong work ethic and belief in never giving up. Perhaps in twenty years he will be sitting behind the resolute desk, conquering his goal of becoming the President of the United States.
