CHS hosts Rock 4 Charity

Last Wednesday night, CHS held “Rock 4 Charity,” a free-entry event that combined vibrant music with the spirit of giving back. Replacing the previously canceled Schoolhouse Rock event, the show was an evening of fun and entertainment that welcomed the entire LVUSD community.

Students were excited to attend in order to listen to live music and see peer performances.

“I really have a love for music, so being able to see my classmates perform makes me happy,” said junior Romy Stavinsky.

Throughout the night, attendees enjoyed the music from numerous bands and the company of their peers, all for a good cause.

“The best part about this event is that it is all free and allows everyone to come together in a safe environment, bonding over music, delicious ice cream, exciting games and raising money!” said junior Rocky Deming.

The icing on the cake for Rock 4 Charity was that all proceeds generated from food sales will be donated to St. Jude’s, a charitable organization dedicated to helping children in need.

“Performing at Rock 4 Charity was super nice because it was for an amazing cause and the people there seemed to really enjoy it and the overall mood of the evening was great,” said senior PRIMI singer and harmonicist Brody Gage. “I would definitely do something like this again.”
