Calabasas High School will be welcoming a new assistant principal for the 2026-2027 school year. Jane Hawley has been hired as the new Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction following the departure of former AP Corine Musgrove, who was recently appointed principal at Willow Elementary School.
In an email sent to staff, Principal Bennett Wutkee announced the news and shared his excitement about the addition to the CHS administration team.
“We are really excited to welcome Jane to CHS,” Wutkee wrote.
Hawley comes to Calabasas High School with a wide range of educational experience. According to Wutkee’s email, she previously worked in the San Luis Obispo area as a district librarian, Secondary Curriculum TOSA, summer school principal, English teacher and department chair, AVID teacher, and teacher induction mentor.
Her background in both teaching and school leadership makes her well prepared for her new role at CHS. As Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction, Hawley will help oversee academic programs and support student learning across campus.
Wutkee also clarified that current assistant principals Katie Booth and David Pickard will remain in their current positions. Although Hawley officially begins next year, she recently visited campus to meet staff members and get an early introduction to the Coyote community. With her years of experience and commitment to education, many staff and students alike are looking forward to seeing the impact she will have at CHS next year.
