The Calabasas Coyotes suffered a heartbreaking loss on Feb. 18 to the La Mirada Matadores in overtime, 57-54. The Coyotes were led by 18 points from Gavin Murphy, and 15 points and 12 rebounds from Peter Gray.

The Coyotes had a successful season, as they won the Marmonte League and made it to the quarter-finals of the CIF playoffs. The Coyotes were playing well throughout the season, and managed to finish with a 21-6 season record.

Murphy and senior Taylor Golden were both named All-Marmonte League Co-MVPs. Gray made the All-Marmonte League second team.

Golden, along with key contributors Drew Martin and Ben Hendelman, will be graduating this season. The team will look to reach the same success next season as starters Murphy, Gray and junior Niko Lobos will all be returning. Harrison Henderson, Darius Baharlo and Hank Dufine will all look to have an expanded role next season as well.
