Apple has always been one step ahead of the technological world. And now, almost a year after its last release, Apple has dropped its newest additions: the iPhone 5, a new iPod touch, a remodeled iPod nano and the iOS6.
The iPhone 5 will trump its older version with its new slim and sleek design. This new iPhone will be lighter than the iPhone 4 by 20 percent, which makes mobile life easier. I am personally excited for the new four-inch retina display, and the A6 chip, which is distinctly faster than the A5 chip. It can instantaneously launch apps, email attachments and much more. I am thrilled to hear the A6 chip will conserve battery life, which everyone knows is an absolute lifesaver when one is at school all day. However, you cannot fathom the true magic of the iPhone 5 until you experience it for yourself.
What lies in store for the iPod touch is its new thin design. The iPod touch is very close in relation to the iPhone 5 with its four-inch retina screen, the new iSight 8 and new apple manufactured earphones called EarPods.
The latest iPod nano is like an infusion of an iPod touch and the old iPod nano. I used to love the nano until I got my iPod touch, but I can now have the best of both worlds. The nano is still the same with its ability to watch videos and listen to music and the radio; however, all of this is now wrapped within a new skin.
As for the iOS6, it is free to upgrade wirelessly to an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. This upgrade will allow one to view more distinct and clear maps. Also, Siri can understand more languages and more complex questions. Plus, there is a new Facebook option preinstalled that allows you to “like” sent or received photos. I was even astounded to find out new calling features including an option to respond with a call saying: “call you later”, “on my way” or even a custom message with a tap of your finger. Capable of much more, the iOS6 has certainly improved from the iOS5 by making technological life more efficient.
