What's your cause tour makes first stop at CHS

On Wednesday, October 22nd, the What’s Your Cause tour gave an interactive assembly for the seniors at senior breakfast. The day was complete with Guess-the-song competitions, serenades for teachers, and dance battles.

According to the What’s Your Cause tour website, their mission is to combat how unprepared Gen Z feels for joining the workforce.

“We proudly feature guest speakers from renowned companies, showcasing diverse career paths and real-world experiences to inspire students,” says the website.

Following the initial breakfast and a game of Duck Duck Goose, seniors filed into the PAEC and were greeted by Wendeezy, the host of the day’s panel. The panel consisted of 6 successful people who come from many walks of life, and the questions were career-focused. One of them was musical artist Pofsky, who after the panel would give a performance to the entire 2026 senior class of his new song “Ya Ya Ya.”

“I almost expected all the students to be too cool and not engage with us, but it was quite the opposite,” Pofsky said. “So much love and good reception from everyone on my panel discussion and performance.”

The performance caught many students off guard. During the performance, Wendeezy romantically sang A Capella to Assistant Principal Dr. Booth, before dramatically realizing she was married. The event was filled with strange occurrences just like this one.

“I was thoroughly impressed by the efforts of all the individuals from the WYC Tour,” Senior Bereket Walgren expressed. “I enjoyed seeing individuals talk about their life-paths and the mindsets they upheld to push them and keep them where they are.”

The goal of the event was to boost the morale of seniors who are going through a massive transitional phase in their lives. With the stress of college applications comes high pressure deadlines, and the event offered a moment for everyone to catch their breath and have a fun day.

“The What’s Your Cause event was a positive energy-filled interactive panel featuring an array of individuals who have found success in various entrepreneurial fields,” said senior Elie Samouhi, the CHS Pep Commissioner. “With a full Q and A, two live music performances, and undeniable spirit from the MC’s, Calabasas’ seniors left the presentation feeling uplifted, motivated, and all with smiles on their faces.”

At the end, several students were invited up on stage to ask different questions. As the event ended, posters were handed out to tons of students, along with t-shirts, and many students got their posters signed.
